New Health Centre, Sutton-in-Ashfield

Colourful hoardings

Hoardings around the construction site of the new Health Centre at Sutton-in-Ashfield have been brightened up by the inclusion of health themed art work provided by the Local Community.  Pupils from local primary schools, Dalestorth and Croft and the Local Sutton Centre Art College provided colourful works of art which have been hung on the hording at the site of the new Ashfield Medical Centre on King Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield. 

The initiative by Hallam Contracts as part of the government sponsored Considerate Constructors Scheme has helped reduce the amount of graffiti and created links with the Local Community as well has brightening up the site hoardings.  Hallam Contracts Director John Hallam gave donations to each school in recognition of the work undertaken by the pupils.

Sutton-in-Ashfield Project Overview                            

The new Ashfield Medical Centre is a Healthcare Development by Ashley House to provide modern healthcare accommodation for Doctor Mukhopadhyay and his colleagues currently based at Sutton Health Centre.  The scheme, which commenced on site in December 2009, is due for completion in 2010 under the watchful eye of Project Managers LHL Group led by Director Paul Batchelor.

The surgery, designed by Nottingham based architects Allan Joyce Architects, incorporates the latest specifications in healthcare design and renewable technology to reduce running costs and provides accommodation for NHS Nottinghamshire County PCT in addition to the GP facilities.
