Nelsons Yard, York

Nelsons Yard, situated on the site of the former Lord Nelson Public House on Walmgate, comprises of six new build contemporary town houses, and two period townhouses converted from the former coaching inn.

LHL Group acted as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Principle Designer on the scheme, together with our client and property developer Northminster Ltd and Rachael Mclane Ltd Interior Designers, the team successfully delivered the project.

The works involved monitoring the demolition of the former factory units, and managing the development of the six new townhouses in its place and carefully managing the conversion of the former 19th Century Coaching Inn, to create two period townhouses, whilst keeping all of the traditional features within each property.

Each new townhouse comprises of three bedrooms, three storeys and ground floor parking, situated in the centre of York in between Walmgate and Piccadilly. The development had a total contract value of over £4.7m with all eight properties comprising of a very high specification finish, enclosed courtyard and electronic access gates.
