St Peter’s School – Front Entrance Improvement Works
LHL Group were instructed by St Peter’s School, York to undertake the Project Management of the improvement works to the front entrance.
LHL worked closely with Harmer Fitz Architects who completed the design for the works to provide safe pedestrian access, in addition to improving the visual aesthetics of the building, by selecting materials and finishes more complimentary to the prestigious Grade II* building. Local contractor Carter Grice Limited, who completed the works, are experienced in Building and Restoration.
Works included re-designing pedestrian and vehicular access routes, drainage works, levelling and re-surfacing in addition to re-detailing the disabled parking and access ramp to the Chapel.
The School is within the City of York Area of Archaeological Importance and Listed Building Consent was also required.
The project was delivered on time and budget, in addition to the final product being of a very high quality, fitting of a building with such significant local history.
