The York Design Awards is an annual event that celebrates the best of the City’s architecture. The development won the Residential Multiple Dwellings award 2022.
LHL Group are proud to be part of the team involved with the project, having provided Project Management Architectural and Quantity Surveying services to the Client Northminster Group, for the bespoke development.
St Josephs Convent, Located a short walk from the city centre, involved the conversion and refurbishment of the existing Poor Clares Convent buildings, The Lodge and Extern House, whilst being careful to maintain and restore the ecclesiastical Grade II listed features.
Each property comes with either a private or communal garden and secure gated access from Lawrence Street. The New build properties have been designed with the existing convent buildings in mind. LHL Architectural team worked in conjunction with Ian Collins of Mesh Architects and Dave Topping of Topping Engineers.
The build was completed by Elvington Park Building Services and the interior design was carried out by the award winning Rachel Mclane Interior Designers.
